very interesting read. I learned alot about Idea with tons of facts which is a life long education which can be used when traveling or conversation. This is a great book for tourists like myself!
Lacks quality.
These aren't well done for kids. No color images. I threw it in the garbage.
While I'm sure this book has some good information about India, it seems like a photocopy of a "real" book or something I printed on an old printer at home . The covers are bright and colorful, but the inside pages are black and white and printed on recycled paper. The pictures are not very good quality - very grainy and also just in black-and-white. Most of them only cover about a third of the page, making it even hard for children to see many details. If I hadn't already written my name on the front and sharpie ( i'm a teacher - I purchased it for my classroom ), I would return it. I'm very disappointed!
I think, a very curious child can enjoy from this book. The book describes India on all sides, in a comprehensive way but simply and understandable. The book is accompanied by photographs of the life in India that will surely delight every child. Very interesting book, and not just for children - I enjoyed!
All About India is much more than just a children's book; it is a lesson in both history and humanity overall. I believe that in today's age, that teaching children about "stereotyping" at an early age aids not only in developing a more informed belief system, it allows a young person to understand that just because cultural differences may be in place, it just adds a type charm in discovering those differences worldwide.
Although this book is written in only 69 pages; do not let this fool you. This book is packed with interesting facts and pictures from cover to cover and is truly an interesting read for anyone and at any age. Very well written.
All About India includes everything to introduce a child to India. It includes culture, history, and important historical figures, geography, languages and a bunch more. In the back is even a quiz. As a teacher I love the quiz because it’s something the child and parent can do together to review the book. Great read and very informative.
